DHTB continued its European adventures with a cycling trip in Burgundy, France, cycling past deep green vineyards climbing limestone hills, alongside the gentle flow of the Saone River, and on the grandest of cycling byways, the Route des Grands Crus. Read more about it!

France and Germany – July 2003
In July 2003 we traveled to France to see the end of the Tour de France – Lance Armstrong’s fifth victory! (but we know how that played out later…). Click here for some photographs from that journey.
Paris and the Tour de France – Jul/Aug 2001
In July 2001 we went on a much-anticipated trip to Paris specifically to see Lance Armstrong win his third Tour de France, tying the American record of Greg LeMond. Our only day of the Tour was the grand finale in Paris; we hooked up with a group of Americans calling themselves Tour Fanatics and enjoyed the day’s craziness on the Champs Elysées. England, Germany, Switzerland, France – Jul 1997
In July 1997 we were once again off to Europe – this time a quick visit to Robert’s cousin Ulrich Weissler in Bournemouth, England, then onto Germany to visit friends and family, to Switzerland to re-visit our honeymoon spot of Grindelwald, and finally a foray into France to see a time-trial stage of the Tour de France.
