In August 2012 we returned to Brazil with naturalist and bird guide Mark Pretti. We had last been to Brazil with VENT back in 2003 to the state of Mato Grosso. In April 2011 we returned to Croatia, this time to bird and explore a bit more of the Dalmatian coast. The first few days we were on our own, based in Zadar, making day trips to Plitvice Lakes and to Šibenik. We then joined a spring migration birding tour with Val Tours, led by Robert Crnković. With the tour we were first based in Biograd na moru, then in Trogir (outside of Split, basically where the airport is). When the birding tour concluded, we returned to the island of Brač, where Liza’s father’s parents came from (Selca). Read more about it!
